Ellie started triathlon at 11 years old in her hometown of Brisbane, Australia, after reading about a local kids triathlon on a cereal box. She immediately fell in love with the sport and asked her parents to sign her up at the kids Triathlon Club at the local pool. Ellie progressed through the sport at lightning speed and went on to win multiple Australian State and National titles before kicking off her career at the highest level on the ITU circuit. Ellie made the switch to long-distance racing in 2016 and has since won 15 half distance titles, is the current Australian Long Course Champion, and has her eyes firmly set on becoming the Ironman 70.3 World Champion.
